Panda to switch club sponsor?

Intrepid news sources have discovered the Panda is in secret discussions with Cleveland Golf to play their new Hi-Bore driver this season. In today's world of players switching equipment for money, this news is not, in and of itself, earth shattering. What makes this big news is Panda's long, close relationship with Srixon.

The Panda has been very loyal to Srixon for the last ten years and to the other Japanese goliath, Mazuno even longer, even though both companies have asked him to not advertise their products. In addition to his loyal relationship The Panda has never been an advocate for Cleveland products up to and including their wedges, prefering the Titleist line.

But times change and the Hi-Bore from Cleveland is reportedly the longest club on the market and as his fans know...Panda like to make ball go far!!!

The Panda refused to comment for this article out of his respect for Srixon but sources close the great furry beast have claimed he is afraid of reprisal (remember Pearl Harbour).

It has been quite of year of change for many of the players on tour this year. The Ferret will be playing his new Sumo driver from Nike which he hopes will keep him out of the picnic area on hole number 6 and the Sloth will be debuting his new forged blades from Mazuno in order to better carve shots to the fringe. The Jackal is using his tried and true clubs but will be playing a high spin ball from Bridgestone that he hopes will allow him to spin his wedge closer to the hole allowing more tap in bogey putts.

We will continue to keep you fans posted as the year goes on with any and all news from the tour.

We at MIZUNO are offended that you would print such an article about our very loyal player The Great Panda. We are more offended that you misspelled our company name not once but twice. Consider youself off our list of potential sponsors.

PS-We are glad that The Great Panda is not the only one that needs to go back to 5th grade

One does wonder about the Mizuno mis-spell. Especially from an equipment nut as rabid as The Jackal. Early signs of dementia?
