Tour officials have come up with a new format this year due to the slow start in the spring and the growth of international tournament play. With the rise of the rivalry between the Panda/Jackal team and the Ferret/Sloth duo, tour officials thought it would be best for the fans to see the tour players play against each other in many different formats on one day. Tour players will be playing in individual events as well as team events. Every event has a point value in which tour officials will total up the points at the end of the round to grant a midsummer winner.
Games to be played for the day
· Low Net-80% of course handicap. Total-5 points
· Individual 18 hole Matches with all players (Panda vs. Jackal, Panda vs. Sloth, Panda vs. Ferret, Jackal vs. Ferret, Jackal vs. Sloth, Sloth vs. Ferret) All matches occur at the same time. In the event of a tie players split points 3.5 points per player. Total-7 points for the winner of each match
· Team Match every 6 holes. Jackal/Panda vs. Ferret/Sloth holes 1-6, Jackal/Ferret vs. Panda/Sloth holes 7-12, Panda/Ferret vs. Jackal/Sloth holes 13-18. 2 points per hole-players split point totals-i.e. if a team wins a hole, each player gets 1 point. No points for halved holes. Players are trying to gain as many points as possible not close out the other team.
· Net Skins Game with 80% of course handicap. 1 Pt per hole with carryovers.
· Closest to the Pin on all par 3’s. In order to receive a point for the closest to the pin the player must be on the putting surface. Each closest to the pin is worth 2 points.
What tour players will need is $20 before the round. Tour officials will determine the winners of the main event at the end of the round, payouts to follow.
In the event of a point total tie players will go to the practice green for a sudden death putt off. Hole location will be determined by player or players not involved in the sudden death putt off.
Handicaps to be used for the day as follows (based upon 80% of course handicap)
Panda-3
Jackal-6

Sloth-10
Payouts for High Point Total Winner

I LOVE it. All the stops have been pulled out. The Sloth's slow brain waves will be severely tested trying to assess the ramifications of a mid-round putt. Looking forward to the Panda's recap of the 14 games in process on each tee box.
Why would you want me to tell you how many points I was winning?? There will be too many items to keep track of. I might, might try to give everyone an update after 9. No promises.
I will be golfing my ball and adding up at the end...
